The Console Wars Are In Full Swing This Holiday
With the holiday's coming and Black Friday Sales giving discounts, consumers are gonna be buying up all the gadgets, gaming wishlist, toys, gifts and other electronics they got their eyes and hands on! The PS5 and XBox Series X have just been released and with Nintendo on the sidelines just chilling this is gonna be one battle you don't wanna miss! Which console will remain supreme this holiday? What do you think? You decide.
PS5 Scalpers Are Making Money By Buying Them All and People Are Sleeping Outside Gamestop to Buy That System
Man, the console news have gotten crazy lately. People are getting so desperate nowadays trying to get those new next gen consoles like PS5 and maybe even the XBox Series systems that they actually brought a bed with them to sleep on outside the store on the sidewalk. They wait there for half to a full day just so that they can be first in line. Now that's dedication! lol Meanwhile, we have these freakin' scalpers using bots online to snag over 3,500 PS5s so that they can resell them for twice the price at around 1,500 so that they can make that extra 500 to 1,000 bucks! Stay safe out there guys when buying coz there's a lot of crazy people out there!
What Is In Store For Next Gen Gaming
With all the crazy announcements we have gotten on next gen consoles and PC Gaming what is in store for gaming in the future? We've heard and learn about ray tracing and how it makes the games look better with more proper and realistic lighting, we learned about resolutions getting bigger with 4K and beyond and that leaves with the type of games and gaming hardware. Can devs, manufacturers and engineers push technology even further? VR is becoming popular as well. That leaves us with trying to get better cooling and being able to access the insides of our systems to better maintain and keep them clean.
WHAT?! Is This For Real? KFC Released a New Console!
Yes you heard that right! KFC as in Kentucky Fried Chicken the company who owns the fast food chain started by Colonel Sanders! lmao I thought it was all a hoax and a joke. After reading more into it and learning more about it it's a real thing! Woah! So this baby can play games and can cook you fried chicken! So the deal is that KFC teamed up with Intel and was built by Cooler Master. They said that it can run games in 4K at 240 fps! I wonder if it will have raytracing or in this case gravy tracing because I'm gonna be putting a trace of gravy on that chicken! lol With that kind of horsepower I wonder what kind of Graphics, CPU and RAM power it has under that chicken machine? It looks like Sony and Microsoft has a new competition! Unlike Stadia this is an actual system. I'm definitely intrigued and hungry at the same time thinking about that chicken! I bet this console is powerful enough to ray trace chicken into existence right into your plate! lol What do you guys think? Also I wonder what the price will be for this KFC Console? I still find it really funny and crazy but at the same time it might be genius marketing kinda similar to that whole XBox Series X Fridge that Microsoft has shown!
I Just Learned About This Budlight BL6 Console! Is It Powered By Beer? lol
I just learned about this today. I heard of the KFConsole by KFC but now we got the Budlight BL6 console. Is this for real or out of season April Fools Joke that's out of season! lmao Will it be cooled using beer cooling technology kinda like with liquid cooling with consoles? lol I don't know man. I think that whoever came up with this was probably too drunk on Budlight. lol If it's for real and has good specs then I guess that it's legit! Also can this baby cool your Budlight and does it only accept Budlight and not other beer brands?
The GPU Wars of 2022 and The Past 2 Years
Everyone should be familiar with GPUs aka Graphics Processing Units by now. The graphics card houses the GPU which is the technology responsible for a specialized processor originally designed to accelerate graphics rendering. GPUs can process many pieces of data simultaneously, making them useful for machine learning, video editing, and gaming applications. So with that said the demand for them nowadays are high. As newer, faster and more powerful GPUs are manufactured and released by companies, the older graphics cards become cheaper and easier for consumers to get their hands on or not if scalpers hoard them again. Today, it's in high demand when it comes to PC gaming. High end graphics cards are sought after by gaming enthusiast or just basically a sort of rite of passage for gamers so that they can boast to their friends about how much more powerful their graphics cards are compared to others. It's like having a faster and more expensive sports car with nitros when it comes to street racing. Not too long ago NVidia announced their new RTX 40 Series graphics cards with the new big boy in town in the form of the RTX 4090. This big boy is a pretty powerful beast from what I've seen with the specs that was was shown. The new Ada Lovelace architecture is the next in line after the Ampere architecture from previous gen. The new architecture was named after Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace who was an English mathematician and writer, chiefly known for her work on Charles Babbage's proposed mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine. The problem is that as powerful as these GPUs are which were said to be 2x to 4x faster than the 3090 Ti there might be some setbacks. That's because higher wattage power supply aka PSU are needed. There's also CPUs that have bottlenecks so you might end up getting more powerful CPUs as well. These problems of course got GPU consumers pretty angry. Those who have purchased the RTX 30 series felt like they got robbed because when it comes to price per performance the RTX 40 series was what they said should have been the once released. Somef felt that they should have waited. It has always been like that but is it really worth the price of $1,599 which is pretty nuts compared to the previous RTX 3090 which was a hundred dollars less. As for the RTX 4080 there seems to be two versions. There's the 12 GB and the 16 GB versions. That's pretty weird calling it that. They should have just called the 12 GB version the RTX 4070. It doesn't make sense. I'm sure the next in line will be the Ti versions. AMD not too long ago announced the RX 6000 series which was suppose to compete with NVidia's RTX 30 series cards. When it comes to price per performance AMD seems to have a more fair balance with their GPUs. It's probably recommended to pair up the RX 6950 XT, 6900 XT, 6800 XT and 6800 with their AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs. It seems that AMD is a much better deal when it comes to that. The problem is that AMD has problems with their drivers so that's what they should be working on improving. I remember owning my first eMachine computer and it had an old AMD Radeon gpu. I was able to run Devil May Cry 4 on that thing and that was more than ten years ago when I had a potato pc. It had decent frame rates. So my experience with AMD in the past was okay but not perfect either. Last but not least we have the new Arc A700 series graphics cards by Intel. It seems that we have a newcomer in the GPU wars and that is Intel. I'm pretty familiar with Intel because I've use their CPUs quite a bit in the past. Some people prefer AMD CPUs but since I've always used Intel's CPU like the Intel Core i7-8700K I'm more used to that setup. That CPU has really given me good performance when it comes to video editing and rendering. I don't use it for gaming but when I do it's pretty decent. I always pair up my Intel CPU with an NVidia GPU but with these new announcements I might make some changes in the future. I might try out Intel's new GPU for a change. I'm not sure how good Intel's GPU are in performance but they said that it's on par with the RTX 30 series cards by NVidia. We'll see how they do. I'll wait for the benchmarks and compare them with NVidia and AMD. Since they're new they're gonna have to play catch up and also work on drivers because that seems to always be one of the main issues with GPU. I try to keep my cards up to date with the newer drivers to see if there's any improvements. For now, I guess the only thing we can do is wait and see what the GPU wars in the PC market has in store for us. Some might say that you shouldn't compare them but since it is a market people will pick sides especially those looking for a budget build. That's what the average consumer does unlike people who can afford to buy everything.
