I checked out this new update that some people were talking about online. I saw a video about it and also read the PlayStation website to know more about this update. Here's the link to this information. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/ps3/system-software/ On March 5, 2025, Sony released a surprise system software update for the PlayStation 3, version 4.92, which improves system performance and renews the Blu-ray player encryption key. According to the information in the notice at the bottom, you can't do this update in some other form or do it on a modded PS3. If you do, you probably won't be able to use it anymore since it might break. My PS3 isn't modded so it's still the original backwards compatible thicc aka fat PS3 from back then. If you do decide to update your PS3 then check out the steps below on how to do it. Make sure that your PS3 is a normal one and not the modded type. 1) Turn on your PS3 whether it's the thicc PS3 or slim version. 2) Log in with your PlayStation account so that you are online. You need to be logged in to the PlayStation servers to download newest update. 3) Go to Settings by using the D-Pad aka Directional Pad on your PS3 Controller. 4) Once you are there, scroll to System Update at the top of the list. Choose that option by pressing X on your PS3 Controller. 5) Choose Update Method by picking Update via Internet. I find that the fastest and easiest way. I've always done it that way every since I bought this PS3 back in 2007. 6) After you press X on your controller, you should see the text that says "The latest update was found. Version 4.92" You'll see the word OK in the middle of the screen. 7) Press X when you see the text in step 6. 8) You'll see a huge wall of text for the User Agreement that you can scroll all the way done. You can read it if you want. 9) Press right on the D-Pad aka Directional Pad. You'll see another page that says "Do you accept this user agreement?" It's followed by two choices. You can either choose "Do Not Accept" or "Accept" 10) Choose "Accept" by pressing down on the D-Pad or Directional Pad of your PS3 Controller and then press X. 11) Another page will show up that says "Do not turn off the system during the update. If you do, you may not be able to restart the PS3™ system. Once the update is started you cannot go back to the previous version of the system software." You can choose to check the box besides that text that says "Turn Off System Automatically After Update" if you want or you can leave the box uncheck. 12) Once you have done step 11, go ahead and choose Start and press X. Make sure you have a good internet connection when doing this update. Your PS3 will restart after the update is finished. 13) Congratulations! You have now updated your PS3 in 2025. It's crazy that PlayStation would release this new update out of nowhere, Here's the steps on how to improve the FPS on your PS3. 1) Go to Settings again on your PS3. 2) Scroll down to Display Settings and choose that with X. 3) Choose Video Output Settings on this list by pressing X. 4) Select your TV connector Type. In my case, it's the Component / D-Terminal. Press X. 5) You'll see a list of resolutions that has Standard (NTSC), 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p. Uncheck 1080i and 1080p from the list by pressing X. 6) Press X to confirm your new settings and test some games out. You can check the other resolutions if you want higher resolutions but at the cost of performance. Starting April 19th, 2025, Twitch is implementing a 100-hour storage limit for Highlights and Uploads, meaning streamers can only store a combined 100 hours of these types of content. If you have over 100 hours then Twitch will delete the rest of your highlights and saved livestreams. I have over 1,792 hours and 1 min (74 days and 16 hours) of highlights so that's a lot of vids for me to download. In this video, I'll show you guys how to download your highlights and streams. If you have less than 100 hours then you should be good. Check out the steps below on how to do this. 1) Log in to your Twitch account. 2) Click on your channel logo at the top right. 3) Click on the Creator Dashboard. This should bring up a new page. 4) On the left panel, click on Content to bring down a list. 5) From that list, choose Video Producer and click on that That should show you all of the saved highlights and uploads that you've done in the past. 6) Pick a video or go through each one starting from your earliest highlights. 7) Click on the three dots to the right of your highlight. This is gonna bring up a list of things that you can do to your Highlight like Edit, Add to, Download, Watch, Export, Unpublish and Delete. 8) Click on Download from that list. It should say Preparing so just wait for a bit until it starts downloading your Highlight or uploaded video. It should save on the Downloads folder of your PC if you are using Windows 10. 9) Do the same thing for the rest of your other Highlights. 10) To export your stream and highlights to your YouTube channel, click on Export from the list in step number 7. 11) It will ask your for the Title, Description, Tags, Visibility and Length. Make your adjustments and then click on the Start Export button. It will ask you to log in to your YouTube channel. Log in to your YouTube channel and the Twitch highlight should now be on your YouTube Channel. Depending on how many minutes or hours highlight is in length then it should take YouTube a while to processed it. You can log out of YouTube and Twitch if you want and it will continue to process. You can also turn off your computer or laptop. 12) If you wanna take screenshots of these pages on your Twitch then just press the Windows Key aka Win Key or Logo Key and at the same time press the Print Screen aka "PrtScn" or "PrtSc" on your keyboard. This will allow you to take a screenshot of what is displayed on your monitor. Go to your Pictures folder on your computer and look for the Screenshot folder to find where your screenshots are located. 13) You can also use a Notepad file to highlight, copy and paste all of the text and info from your Highlights like I did in the video if you want as an option. I usually use notepad to make lists since I find it simple, easy and quick. That's up to you though. 14) I hope this helps you out so make sure to do it before April 19, 2025. Sonic Unleashed is a pretty underrated game in 3D the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise. I remember how divided the 2D and 3D Sonic fans were in the past. I think that has changed nowadays. You should give this game a try if you haven't done so. I 've already played this in the past back in 2008 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. I might do a playthrough of those versions later in the future. Here's how to do this. 1) Download the file from the github website. 2) Use WinRAR to extract the file. 3) Place the files inside a single folder. 4) Get a copy of Sonic Unleashed for the Xbox 360 and dump its data and files into your PC or Laptop. 5) Use a USB stick to download and save the DLC files of Sonic Unleashed from your Xbox 360 to your PC. 6) Find the Sonic Unleashed Title Update 7) Start the Sonic Unleashed Recompilation app by double clicking the exe 8) Follow the instructions and add the files from steps 4 to 6 into your Sonic Unleashed Recompiled. 9) Once all of that is done, you should be able to play the game. 10) Adjust any functions like volume, inputs, controls, resolutions, FPS, monitor, etc. in the options menu of the game. 11) Have fun! I'm gonna be doing a full playthrough of this game later on in the future. Donkey Kong '94 aka Donkey Kong (1994) for the Game Boy is a childhood favorite of mine. I remember playing this game back in the 90s. I remember passing around my Game Boy to my younger cousins so that they can play the games too. Good times. Unlike the original Donkey Kong from 1981, the 1994 game has more than 4 stages. The Game Boy version has over 101 levels including the final boss battle! Try this game out since it just came out not too long ago on Nintendo Switch. Donkey Kong, also called Donkey Kong '94, is a platformer/puzzle game developed by Nintendo EAD and Pax Softnica, and released by Nintendo for the Game Boy in 1994. It is a semi-remake of the original Donkey Kong game, and it is a sequel to the game Donkey Kong Jr. The game was re-released on the Nintendo 3DS via the Virtual Console in Japan on June 15, 2011, and worldwide on June 16, 2011. In this game, Donkey Kong Sr. kidnaps Pauline, and Mario must save her. After Mario completes the original four stages from the first Donkey Kong game and defeats Donkey Kong Sr., the primate will wake up and take Pauline away through many additional stages and worlds, introducing new mechanics, moves and enemies. The game ends after Mario defeats a giant, mutated Donkey Kong. In the final cutscene, Mario returns to his regular size, and together with Pauline, Donkey Kong Sr. and Junior are taking a photo, implying a friendship and them finally deciding to have peace between them This game features remakes of the old stage designs from the Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. titles, but also features a whole new world system similar to that of the Super Mario Bros. series. The game possesses score and lives systems. The player also receives a prompt to save his/her progress after boss battles. And each stage must be complete within a time limit. The game contains a total of 101 stages, divided into nine worlds. Mario's movements are also greatly improved for this game. Mario is able to pick up and throw certain enemies and objects in the later stages, similar to the game Super Mario Bros. 2 for Nintendo Entertainment System. He can also handstand, make backflips, swim, operate levers, cling on ropes and use hammers to defeat enemies and destroy obstacles. In most of the stages, Mario must find a key to unlock a door and access the exit. In some stages, Donkey Kong Jr. will be also present and try to hinder Mario's progress by operating levers and controlling platforms and doors. After each three stages, there are regular boss battles, where Mario must reach Pauline, while avoiding obstacles and enemies, or avoid Barrels throw by Donkey Kong Sr. and use them to defeat the gorilla. Upon completing each boss battle, the player will watch a cutscene showing Donkey Kong Sr. trying to evade Mario. During some of them, Mario will learn a new game mechanic to progress through obstacles in later stages. Trivia a) If the player puts Donkey Kong GB into the Super Game Boy, it would present the game in an exclusive screen border that has a similar resemblance to the Donkey Kong arcade cabinet. b) The game was featured on the cover of Nintendo Power V61. c) The game won two awards in the 1994 Nintendo Power Awards: Best Graphics and Sound (Game Boy) and Best Challenge (Game Boy). d) This is the first game where Donkey Kong wears a necktie and the last game to feature Donkey Kong's original design. I show how to install the Japanese version Biohazard 2 SourceNext of this game and the Seamless HD Project v2.0 which enhances the game with better visuals and other upgrades. After you install Biohazard 2 SourceNext, look for the Resident Evil 2 Classic Rebirth website. Once you're in the game, you can access DEBUG mode anytime by pressing F5. Once you're done with all the settings, go ahead and click on OK to start the game. I made a video on how to install the Japanese version of the original Resident Evil 2 from 1998 on your PC or laptop! This is the Biohazard 2 SourceNext version of the game! You also need this version if you wanna play the Akuma Mod that came out not too long ago. You will need to install the Biohazard 2 Sourcenext. You will have to find this on your own. It's pretty easy. Just look it up on your browser. Once you install it, you can go ahead and eject this installer. After that, you will need to type in Resident Evil 2 or Biohazard 2 Sourcenext Classic Rebirth. A blue screen that says Windows protected your PC will show up. Click on More info text then click on the Run anyway button. Click OK on the next screen. Make some adjustments on the CONFIGURATION box next. For graphics, color scheme should be RGB888 and resolution should be 1280x960 or full screen. This game only supports the 4:3 aspect ratio and not 16:9. If you try to use 16:9, the game will look stretched. That aspect ratio only works for fully 3D games and not on games with prerendered background still images like this game. For gameplay, check Enable Quickturn. For gamepad, I chose XInput for my input method to match my gamepad. If your gamepad or controls are different then you can change that if you want. Check on Texture filtering if you want. It's optional. Check Enable Sound and Stereo. Check Enable movies to activate the cutscenes if you want. Check Always boot in configure mode if you want to always see this CONFIGURATION box every time you start the game. If you uncheck this then your game will start and automatically skip this box. I didn't mess with vibration because I don't like it. Once you're done with all the settings, go ahead and click on OK to start the game. Since this is the Japanese version of Resident Evil 1998, the subtitles will be in Japanese but the voice audio will still be in English. Once you're in the game, you can make some adjustments in the option menu. You can map the controls on the KEYCONFIG, check the monitor tuning and sound. To play the Akuma mod, download it. This trailer surprised me! It just came out of nowhere! I've been asking for a remaster of the Legacy of Kain series similar to what Crystal Dynamics did for the Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft not too long ago! I'm glad that my prayers and fans wish have finally been answered! It seems we're getting a remaster of Soul Reaver 1 and 2 with new textures and probably higher resolutions! They should add the option to toggle between the original graphics and textures to the remastered one. I hope that they add more options in the graphics menu so that you can adjust the anti-aliasing, texture quality, ray tracing, graphics quality, display mode settings, VRAM usage, etc. I hope that they also add ray tracing detail to these games to make them look really good with the lighting! They should achievements and trophies to these remastered games. Also, I hope that someday they also remaster Blood Omen Legacy of Kain, Blood Omen 2 and Legacy of Kain Defiance. I wish that these will eventually lead to a brand new Legacy of Kain game! Make that at least three new Legacy of Kain or Soul Reaver games! I'm just happy with this announcement. I don't know if these will also come out on other consoles and PC though. It only said PS5 and PS4 at the end of the trailer. Oh, wait! Never mind. I looked it up. I made another fix and how to video tutorial. I made this video fix so that you will be able to start and launch Lost Planet 2 on you PC. This is for the Steam version. You'll have to buy a Steam Key for Lost Planet 2 somewhere else. There's several websites out there where you can buy Steam keys. After you download and install the game from Steam, you have to install two things on your PC or laptop. The first one that you gotta install is the xliveredist and the other one is the gfwlclient. Once you've done that, you should see a window that ask you to log in with your Windows Live ID and password. Type in your Xbox username on the Windows Live ID and then your password. It should work as long as your password only has 16 characters or less. If your password is longer than 16 characters, it won't work for some reason. I don't know why. After that, you should see a small screen asking you to update. Go ahead and choose yes to apply the update. If you get logged out then change your password to 16 characters or less and then try logging in after that. Try starting Lost Planet 2 again and it should start working. Here is the Steam fix created by jbizzlemayne. Game Not Launching (1/2023 Fix) The issue with the game not launching at all is from having no valid gfwl version installed. It seems you must have a certain version installed before the game will boot. I encountered the game not launching issue and tried a few different gfwl versions before I got it to work. Here is how: Download: http://download.gfwl.xboxlive.com/content/gfwl-public/redists/production/xliveredist.msi and http://download.gfwl.xboxlive.com/content/gfwl-public/redists/production/gfwlclient.msi and create an Xbox account if you do not have one: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live Install both the client and the redistributable. The game should now launch. Once you are in you must sign-in with an Xbox account. The gfwl client will update once and ask you to restart the game. Do this. Once you restart, sign-in again and it will update the game's files and ask you to restart the game once more. From this point just sign into your account and you will be good to go. From what I could see the gfwl services are fully working including co-op play. Enjoy.
