Constantine (The Former HellBlazer DC Comic Series) Is Getting A TV Series

This was a blog that I originally made back on July 28, 2014 at 5:25 PM.

For those who aren't familiar with Constantine, it's a comic series published by DC Comics and formerly called HellBlazer. It is a horror, occult detective comic book series that stars John Constantine a man who likes to smoke and did morally questionable things arguably for the greater good. The series has all sorts of supernatural beings and occurences surrounding the main protagonist John as he confronts demons, angels, etc. While sometimes striving for the good of mankind, John Constantine was often manipulative and a dangerous person to have as a friend, as the lives and souls of those around him became perilously involved in his misadventures. He took pains to protect himself from direct attacks, but his friends and relatives were often endangered in order to strike at him. The spirits of deceased friends haunted him, individually or as an entourage of ghosts. I was first introduce to Constantine when I saw the film of the same name with Keanu Reeves and Shia Labeouf. In this movie version, Constatine isn't blonde and British unlike his comic book counterpart. I guess Hollywood had to change some things to fit I don't know. I just don't get Hollywood thinking sometimes. Sigh. In the movie, John Constantine must save the world by stopping Armageddon and preventing Mammon (Lucifer's son) from being release on Earth and causing hell on the world. I wonder if Lucifer will make an appearance in this TV series. This TV series portrays John Constatine pretty accurately since he's like in the comic being blonde and British, etc. Well, I don't know much about the TV series version but being a fan of horror and supernatural movies made me interested in this. This Constantine made me look up and introduce me to that other DC comic book series called The Sandman starring Lucifer being portrayed as a blonde with angel wings. The way they show and portray him in that series is quite interesting and it's a pretty good series worth checking out. I don't know if this Lucifer is a different version compared to the one shown in Constantine or are they the same. Anyone know out there? If you do know make a video or something.
