This was a blog that I originally made back on December 18, 2013 at 2:05 AM.
Well, I've been going through the interwebs again and saw that there's been some problems lately pertaining to youtube land. Sigh. I do like youtube as it was 6 years ago when I first started using the site. I started posting game footage there and had been doing it for years. Now, it has changed a lot. It's not the same as it was back then. It's pretty much just an empty shell of its former self. I'm aware that times have change and we all grow older. We see things from a different perspective than how we view them from when we were younger and innocent. Now, that sweet innocent fun has been replaced by a more cold and cruel world that we live in. People and companies can be mean and heartless. I know that I'm saying this when it's almost Christmas time. I don't feel bad about it though anymore. I feel bad for those affected by this and especially those who are using this site to make a living. Basically, what's happening is that a lot of users are getting content ID claims for uploading game footage because of the systems way of detecting mostly music and that is owned by the original creators. Once you get a content ID claim on your videos you can't monetize and make money from that anymore and the ones who made the claim can make money from it. I don't know if they ever heard of fair use but being fair has died from youtube a long time ago. It only caters to the popular ones nowadays because it makes them a lot of money and the underdogs are left to bite the dust. I guess the only advice that I can give is that you mute the game when you're playing it or turn off the in game music and just leave the sound effects. That might work. Just try it and experiment to see which ones work. Well, I guess this might be the end of gaming on youtube or not. Some big users with thousands of videos have already gotten their channel taken down and some who have been around as long as I have had gotten so much content ID claims that they closed their accounts or got shut down. Oh, well. I guess since this is happening I might have to stick to Twitch TV from now on. I might still try youtube out and see which vids are okay to upload. It's also not that you won't be able to upload a video it's just that you won't be able to monetize your video and make money off it. What do you guys think? Do you think this new automated system that detects videos and automatically marks its content claims fair or do you think it's a broken system? This is worst than Godzilla stomping a city into oblivion. lol I'd recommend not using youtube as a means to make a living. It's not really a sure fire way that it will work forever. It's sad really. I've listed some videos below on content ID claims.
Here is basically a video documentary about the definition of corporation and what it is and how it functions. This should give you an idea of how harmful it can be and also what is its main goal and aim. It's basically a means to an end. Not saying all corporations are bad but most are unintentionally harmful.
It's time for an awakening! Wake up!
