This was a blog that I originally made back on March 27, 2014 at 7:10 PM.
Well, I saw the trailer. I got mixed feelings. On the one hand, I'm really happy and glad that they're kickstarting and hyping up the TMNT franchise with this movie. On the other hand, they might completely butcher the original story and origins if they decided to change a lot of stuff too much. I don't have faith on Michael Bay and Megan Fox isn't really the best actress out there. She's always been just eye-candy showing her ass, curves, and skin in revealing outfit. Sigh. Also, the way they depicted the turtles in this new TMNT are really huge, muscular, and bulky! They've really been working out haven't they! They've acquired all kinds of gains! lmao Their face also looks kinda wierd and different. Well, I guess that's how they look if they're made to be real compared to their older counterparts. This is a different universe to the other TMNT just like each series, movie, and comic are different from each other. I know that this will help introduce new fans to the franchise and this new generation to the Turtles even further even though the new cg cartoon series shown in Nickelodeon has done that already. I remember watching the 80s cartoons, the live action movies, and the newer cartoons and CG movie. I've loved the Turtles since I was a kid. I even got the action figures but don't have them anymore. That was a long time ago. Well, let's go with this new trailer. We see a scene of crime and destruction being created by what looks like terrorists or something. I guess they're suppose to be similar to the Foot Clan. Only this time unlike the original live action where the Foot Clan is hiring young kids and turning them into criminals we have guys with guns blowing up buildings and stuff. We then see some action going on in a train station and Megan Fox who is playing the reporter April O'Neil is recording video footage of the action with her phone! We then see more action sequences between what appears to be Leonardo fighting the bad guys. We hear William Fichtner who is suppose to play the Shredder talking to April O'Neil (Megan Fox) over the trailer how "heroes are not born but created", etc. We then see more action sequence with the turtles doing flips and sommersaults as well as that pretty cool awesome scene in the snow which appears to be Raphael and Donatello falling down a snowy mountain and slamming into a vehicle. The scene at the end reveals Leo and Mikey meeting up with April for the first I guess that's why she passed out. I'm sure that they're still the fun and pizza loving Turtles we know and love with each of their own unique personalities and skills. I was kinda iffy about their new looks at first and kinda skeptical. I then decided to give this a chance. Even though I hated what Michael Bay did to the Transformers franchise he's not directing this movie but only producing it. Jonathan Liebesman (known for movies like Battle Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans which I liked, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning 2006, Darkness Fall which I also like, etc.) is directing this movie and also the original authors of the first black and white TMNT comic Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird are involve with writing this movie! I have faith in these three guys to deliver for us and do the TMNT movie justice! So all I'm gonna say is that give this movie a chance! You haven't seen the movie so just judge it after you've seen it! Check below for the trailer and some pics about this movie!
