This is an interesting reversal move by Sony Playstation! I didn't see this coming at all. I guess all the backlash by fans in social media, videos, articles, news, etc. was too much and a lot of people got Sony's attention. So people in numbers do have power after all. The only thing really that bothers me about this news is how long is this really gonna stay up? Will they be keeping the PS3 Store up longer or will it be remove eventually? According to the announcement release by Sony they decided to keep the PS3 Store and PS Vita Online Stores up. The PSP Store on the other hand will be gone for good. It's okay because the PS Vita is backwards compatible with PSP so that's cool. The PS Vita can't play PSP UMDs aka Universal Media Disc games but it can play the online digital PSP games. I also wish that Sony updates the PS3 Store so that it won't be as buggy or glitchy. To be honest I really wish that Sony brings the entire digital PS3, PS Vita, PSP and other digital only games in the entire library to the PS5 so that it can be played on that instead! C'mon Sony! That way it will all in one system. You will make a lot of people happy because then you can focus on the PS5 but also have the PS3, PS Vita, PSP and PS4 games playable on that one system via emulation or whatever software update you have to do to make it happen! I'm aware of the Playstation Now but that isn't powered by hardware so for people with bad internet gaming through the cloud is gonna be a pain! Sony needs to understand that not everyone is rich! If Sony makes these requests happen by just making the PS5 completely backwards compatible with previous gen but at the same time focused on the newer gen everyone will be happy and they will reign supreme in the console wars and market! I'll imediately jump the PS5 without hesitation and finally give my PS3 and PS4 the rest they deserve! I wish that Sony also revive the love for PS Vita so that it can work alongside the PS5! Fans, gamers and consumers just didn't give the PS Vita not enough chance that's why it failed the handheld market! I think right now Nintendo dominates that with their portable console that can be docked which genius on their part! Meanwhile, Microsoft at least continue support for older titles on their newer hardware with their backwards compatibility. Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens next in the future as newer game titles get release. Meanwhile, I'll continue gaming on my PC and play some indie titles. hehehe I'll game every now and then on consoles but I'm just an all around gamer so I touch any kind of hardware, PC and console in gaming.
