This was a blog that I originally made back on January 20, 2014 at 4:50 AM.
I know I'm kinda late with this news but who cares. I'll still go over it anyway. I saw The Amazing Spider Man movie back in 2012 at Harkins Theaters. It was pretty good. I mean it's decent for a reboot since seeing the Spider Man Movies starring Tobey Maquire and Kirsten Dunst back in 2002 when I was a wee lad. This one looks pretty exciting as a new villain Electro is introduce. While we saw Spidey duke it out with Dr. Curt Connors the Lizard Man in the first one, this sequel is introducing more fun and action in the scene. We see Andrew Garfield reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider Man and Jamie Foxx as Electro. We also see Emma Watson as Gwen Stacy make a return. Harry Osbourne is now being played by Dane Dehaan (known in movies like Chronicle, Metallica: Through the Never, etc.) I wonder what kind of accident cause him to acquire his powers? I'm not really familiar with the comic book version of Electro but maybe I'll learn about him once I see this movie. I can easily look him up on the web too of course to learn about him. I like how they try to make Spidey's costume more like the original this time. One thing is for certain, the first movie didn't disappoint me at all and I liked it and I am most certainly looking forward to this sequel. I can't wait to see what they got in store this time! If you haven't seen the Amazing Spider Man which is the first one before this one then I recommend that you check it out! I'm just wondering when Mary Jane will show up and which movie. I guess this all takes place before that. Hmmm. I'm still having flashbacks of my childhood when I saw the first three live action Spider Man movies back in 2002. I thought that the CGI was awesome at that time. It look good but now it's getting a little better. I guess we're finally reaching that plateau where the difference between reality and fantasy are starting to get blurred. Maybe we're not quite there yet. What do you think? Has special effects finally reach its peak and can't be pushed further or have we only seen the beginning? Check out below for some pics and movie trailers for the Amazing Spider Man 2.
