Twitch Plays Pokemon Streaming Channel Let's You the Viewer Participate In Pokemon Gameplay!

Updated: Nov 29, 2020

This was a blog that I originally made back on February 25, 2014 at 5:30 AM.

Well, this is exactly what it says on the title. There is this channel on Twitch TV called Twitch Plays Pokemon which allows you to type in commands for the character Red on the chat box section. Just click on the highlighted words to take you to the website and links. Basically, you can type these words: up, down, left, right, b, a, select, and start. This let's the character move around. The problem is that there are several tens of thousands of other viewers that are typing in commands on the chat box section which will make playing the game and finishing it take forever. You can type in a command but you'll have to keep typing to progress the game. Hilarity ensues as crap tons of other viewers flood the chat box. It'll take forever to complete a screen because of the randomness. If you type in either the words anarchy or democracy on the chat box will allow a type of mode for the game. If either one has the most votes or numbers which happens instantly or after a couple of seconds then that gets counted as the mode. According to the info in the channel Anarchy mode is the "classic" mode, where everyone's inputs are applied immediately. Democracy mode chooses the most popular input provided during a 20 second voting period. So just type in as much commands as possible. It gets quite boring after a while but it's quite amusing to watch the randomness. lol It's basically what's currently trending right now on TwitchTV.com so go there if you wanna check it out. Of course you can watch other streaming channels there that stream other esports like League of Legends tournaments, Star Craft, Fighting game tournaments, and many other kinds of things relating to video games. I also do live streaming there sometimes so here is my channel: My Twitch Channel Seven Heaving Gaming You can also click on the pictures below to get to the TwitchTV website. Also, one more thing. It would be awesome to see other games played like this in the future through audience participation. It makes it more interesting! hehe
