"We can confirm that Amy Hennig has left Naughty Dog," a Sony representative told IGN. "Amy has made significant contributions to the game industry and we appreciate all she has done for Naughty Dog. The development timeline of Uncharted will not be impacted."
Amy Hennig if you don't know is a video game director and script writer, formerly for the video game company Naughty Dog. She began her work in the industry on the Nintendo Entertainment System, with her design debut on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System game Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City. She later went to work for Crystal Dynamics, working primarily on the Legacy of Kain series. With Naughty Dog, her work has been on two primary series: Jak and Daxter and Uncharted. According to rumors and reports, she has been "forced out" of the company and was also stated that Druckmann and Straley were not involved in Hennig's leave. Whether if she has been forced out or not is actually relevant even though the want to keep this news on the down low. A team is a team and everyone involved should be like part of a family. If she left for her own reasons and has other things to pursue or just want to take a break in the gaming industry then that's completely up to her and no one else's decisions. If on the other hand she's been forced out then that should be known as well. It's like the whole Keiji Inafune leaving Capcom deal again except this time it's happening over there at Naughty Dog. Whatever the case we all should have the right to know the reasons if she's been fired or forced out. It's not for her and for us gamers! What do you guys think the reason is?
